Answers before your first visit

  1. 01How often would I meet?

    It depends on the program. SAIOP meets three or more days a week, in sessions of about three hours. Outpatient therapy usually meets weekly or biweekly, in sessions of about 50 minutes. Our intake team will help you find the right fit.

  2. 02Can I take part in SAIOP or therapy by telehealth?

    Yes. Both SAIOP and outpatient therapy are offered in person or by telehealth, so you can take part from anywhere in North Carolina.

  3. 03What are your hours?

    Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can send the online intake form at any time, and our intake team follows up, typically within one business day.

  4. 04Where is your office?

    Our in-person office is in Greensboro, and we offer telehealth anywhere in North Carolina. Our intake team will share the details for your first visit.

  5. 05Is language assistance available?

    Yes. We provide free language assistance services to people whose primary language is not English. Just ask our intake team. This website is also available in Spanish.

  6. 06Which NC Medicaid plans do you accept?

    TriaPath is in-network with three NC Medicaid plans: the Vaya Partners and Alliance Health Tailored Plans and the Carolina Complete Health Standard Plan. Coverage varies by plan, so our intake team will confirm your specific benefits before your first visit. If you have a different plan, we’ll help you check your options.

  7. 07Do you accept commercial or private insurance?

    Not at this time. TriaPath works only with the NC Medicaid plans Vaya Partners, Alliance Health, and Carolina Complete Health. If you're not sure which plan you have, reach out and our intake team will help you check.

  8. 08What's the difference between SAIOP and outpatient therapy?

    SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program) is a structured, group-centered program that meets several days a week for people who need more support in their recovery. Outpatient therapy (OPT) is one-on-one or family therapy at a weekly or biweekly pace. Many people move from SAIOP into outpatient therapy as they progress. Our intake team will help you find the right fit.

  9. 09Do you offer telehealth?

    Yes. We offer telehealth appointments anywhere in North Carolina, in addition to in-person visits at our Greensboro office.

  10. 10What happens after I submit an appointment request?

    Our intake team reviews your request and follows up, typically within one business day, to verify insurance, answer questions, and schedule your first appointment. Please don't include clinical or diagnostic details in the request form. We'll cover that directly with you.

  11. 11What if I'm in crisis right now?

    This site and our intake form are not monitored 24/7 and are not for emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.
